LifeFrame: turn photos and places into a revisitable personal timeline
LifeFrame is Kanzan AI Lab’s product direction focused on personal imagery and life logging. It is for people whose camera rolls have grown too large to search, explain, or revisit with ease—turning scattered shots into a timeline that is searchable, enrichable, and readable back in time.
This note summarizes how we position LifeFrame, who it is for, and what kinds of capabilities we are building. Shipping details and timelines follow the actual product.
Positioning
LifeFrame is not “just another gallery.” It puts photos back into time and place:
- Time: organize by capture time, with batch-friendly workflows so the order of your library matches lived experience.
- Place: add or correct geolocation so “which day, where” becomes a reliable field—not only a vague memory.
- Perspective: where appropriate and privacy-preserving, use maps and aggregates to see patterns such as where a chapter of life was denser in images—for your own reflection, not performative sharing by default.
In one sentence: LifeFrame helps you turn life photos into a walkable, searchable personal timeline you can return to.
Who it is for
- People who document life, travel, and family on their phones and want less friction to organize, more context preserved.
- People who want to backfill or fix locations so maps and albums line up with real trips.
- People who enjoy using AI to comment on composition and mood, or generate short poetic lines or prose-style pieces anchored to photos—without replacing memory itself.

Central photo management: browse, search, and update single photos or batches so the library reads as a story over time—especially after device changes or backup restores.
Geography and maps
Geocoding and reverse geocoding to turn coordinates into readable place names; batch location updates so map footprints better match real itineraries. The map is both a view and a sanity check for your records.
Insights
Aggregations and statistics over your imagery and geography (for example summaries along time or place dimensions). These features aim at self-understanding; they are not a prompt to broadcast sensitive trails. Exact metrics follow in-product guidance.
AI assistants and generative touches
LifeFrame supports multiple assistant styles: some emphasize photographic technique; others emphasize tone and literary voice, including short verses and longer prose-like pieces tied to one or many photos. Treat outputs as commentary and inspiration, not ground truth—the negatives and metadata remain yours.
Export
Export-oriented workflows so you can move organized results across account boundaries when you need to (for example backup or migration), reducing lock-in anxiety.

Photos and precise locations are highly sensitive. LifeFrame is oriented toward personal review and organization by default; we do not encourage casually publishing fine-grained trails. AI features can be subjective or stylized—they do not replace your own judgment or lived memory.
As with other lab writing, we avoid unconfirmed user stories and performance claims; updates will continue to appear in site notes and other channels.
